Derivatives Week's 2005 DEAL Awards were announced last week recognizing the firms and professionals who stood out in the over-the-counter derivatives market. After extensive interviews with buy-and sell-side institutions and plus submissions from the industry, the editors of Derivatives Week determined nominees and winners in each category on the basis of factors including innovation and excellence of performance. The winners in 10 categories were unveiled and Thomas Jasper, ceo of Primus Guaranty, was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
